The Enfield Town to Broxbourne Walking and Cycling Route has been named among the finalists for the prestigious Team Modeshift National Travel Awards 2025 in the “Team Modeshift Partnership of the Year – Sponsored by SAJ Consultants” category. Delivered by Enfield Council’s Journeys and Places programme, the new route runs along local roads and the New River, totalling 4.7km within Enfield.
This year’s awards drew an impressive 109 nominations from across schools, businesses, local authorities and community groups demonstrating the growing commitment nationwide to sustainable and active travel.
The “Partnership of the Year” award celebrates collaborative efforts that bring together multiple organisations, including education providers, communities, local authorities, and businesses, to promote active and sustainable travel.
Being shortlisted reflects recognition of the Journeys and Places team’s dedication, innovation, and collaborative approach to improving active travel and sustainable journeys in Enfield.
We congratulate Southwark Cycling Partnership for winning the award, and celebrate being a finalist which is a strong endorsement of our work and its potential to influence travel behaviour positively.
