Enfield Schools Step Up for the WOW Walk to School Challenge

Children at Capel Manor Primary and Honilands Primary are making strides towards a healthier, greener future by taking part in the WOW Walk to School Challenge. Delivered in partnership with Living Streets, this pupil-led initiative encourages active travel, rewarding children with collectable badges when they walk, cycle, wheel, or scoot to school at least once a week for a month.

National Highways has kindly funded the project for both schools, helping to inspire the next generation to choose sustainable transport for their daily journeys.

As part of the initiative, pupils took to the streets on Friday 14 February, to carry out a Road Audit near their schools. This hands-on activity gave children the chance to identify potential barriers to walking and cycling, providing valuable insights that have now been shared with National Highways.
