Revealing Southbury will produce several vibrant public artworks that uplift high-footfall areas around Southbury Road and Southbury Station and:
Enfield Council’s Journeys and Places team have been engaging local people in the development of these new public artworks; and uncovering their knowledge about Southbury and their aspirations for its future. The engagement events have included pop-up engagement in Southbury Station, a Collage Workshop in Southbury Launderette led by artists Blank Walls and a creative co-design workshop with Year 6 pupils at Southbury Primary School led by Street Artist Qwynto and attended by Councillor Sabri Ozaydin – Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Placemaking.
The creative work produced by participants through our engagement, will directly inform a large-scale mural for the bridge opposite Southbury Station, and a series of murals on the shutters of the parade of shops along Southbury Road. The murals will be launched in Spring this year, along with the new Place Plan for Southbury.
Revealing Southbury is funded by UK Shared Prosperity Funding.
