October marks International Walk to School Month, an initiative led by Living Streets

This year, pupils, along with their friends, families, and carers, are invited to turn their school commute into an “Autumn Street Safari.” Participants are encouraged to collect autumnal items and engage in fun activities like dancing around mushrooms, juggling pinecones, or making up spooky stories.

Living Streets aims to inspire children to walk, wheel, cycle, or scoot to school throughout October. For those unable to join the weekday journeys, the activities offer perfect weekend fun. Families can download the Autumn Street Safari guide and enter a prize draw at livingstreets.org.uk/autumn.

The campaign not only celebrates autumn but also promotes healthy, active lifestyles.
