As part of their creative and community programme supporting and celebrating local creatives, communities and businesses in Palmers Green and Enfield, Arbeit Studios Green Lanes are delighted to announce their third Artist Residency Exhibition with artist collective DYSPLA, taking place between 17 August – 8 September 2024 at Arbeit Studios, Green Lanes.
Throughout their residency, DYPSLA have been exploring the theme of community and their forthcoming exhibition, ‘Enfield is Disabled,’ will feature analogue and digital media work created by 11 disabled artists from Enfield aged 10 to 60 years old. Audiences are invited to experience an interactive installation of digital sculptures and recorded poetry incorporating audio, text, video, digital portraiture and billboard print. For further information about the exhibition, please visit the Arbeit Studios website.
In June 2023, Arbeit Studios was awarded the Workspace Launch Fund by the Journeys and Places team at Enfield Council to set up a workspace in Palmers Green and run a creative and community programme to support local businesses, residents and creatives, and activate the high street and Devonshire Square. Round 4 of the Artist Residency programme will open for applications shortly and is open to artists and creatives based in Enfield and Palmers Green. The residency offers a £2000 Artist Commission Fee, a budget to support exhibition costs and workshops, and free studio space for 12 weeks.
