Works in Bush Hill Park are complete

In January 2024, construction commenced in Bush Hill Park to install the measures proposed there as part of the Enfield Town to Ponders End Walking and Cycling Route.

The new infrastructure installed in the park include;

  1. A new entrance to the park on Cross Road (the old entrance was closed in light of this)
  2. Segregated cycle and footways from the new entrance on Cross Road to the two entrances on Lincoln Road
  3. Shared spaces at the entrances to the park
  4. New lighting columns along the new section of the route
  5. Wildflower gardens between the segregated cycle and footways
  6. Two new picnic areas with cycle parking
  7. The construction works were completed in June 2024 and the new paths were opened to the public at this time.

    The works in Bush Hill Park were funded by Transport for London as part of their Cycle Network Development Programme and will form part of the wider Enfield Town to Ponders End Walking and Cycling Route.

    We would like to thank the community for their patience while the construction works were carried out, particularly the All Ability Cycle Hub held in the park, who agreed to use a smaller route in the park for the duration of the construction.
