Four new School Streets launch in the borough

Enfield Council is excited to announce that we have launched four new School Streets across the borough at Latymer All Saints Primary, Chesterfield Primary, Prince of Wales Primary and Bowes Primary.

The School Streets at Chesterfield Primary School, Prince of Wales Primary School, and Latymer All Saints Primary School launched on Tuesday, May 7, 2024! The decision to implement these School Streets was made following a statutory consultation held from December 2023 to January 2024, and they will be in operation Monday to Friday during school term times only.

Chesterfield Primary School Street will operate on Chesterfield Road, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 9:15 am and 2:45 to 3:45 pm.

Prince of Wales Primary School Street will operate on Salisbury Road, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 9:00 am and 3:00 to 3:30 pm.

Latymer All Saints Primary School Street will operate on Granham Gardens and Dunholme Road to the junction with Northern Avenue from Monday to Friday 8:15 to 9:15 am and 2:45 to 3:45 pm.

School Streets create a safer and cleaner space around schools by reducing motor vehicles near the school gates and entrances. They are enforced using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, so a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued if a vehicle drives through the areas during the hours of operation without an appropriate exemption.
