More than 400 people attended “Celebrate The Green” on Saturday 9th September in Edmonton Green.
The community festival closed out a summer of events aimed at shaping the future of The Green together, and included performance from Enfield People’s Theatre, Enfield Poets, Central African Youth in Enfield and activities by DJ/MC Academy, Doodle Design, Performing Pets and more.
Almost 1000 residents took part to the events organised by Enfield Council on The Green over the Summer and shared ideas on how to improve the space, co-writing a brief “Community Vision for The Green” and taking part in co-design activities for the “Pavilion on The Green”.
Place Shaping Team and local Architects Fisher Cheng will continue to engage with the local community in the coming months to progress the design of the Pavilion and to develop a programme of activities to be hosted on The Green in Summer ’24.
