Transport for London’s Travel for Life results are in!

It has been another outstanding year of Enfield’s Transport for London Travel for Life programme.

More than 60 Enfield schools are now engaged and accredited in Travel for Life, which makes up 57% of all schools in the borough. This year, we achieved 48 Gold schools – a 14% rise from last year.

Travel for Life is TfL’s accreditation scheme for London schools and nurseries. It inspires young Londoners to travel to school sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely by championing walking, cycling and wheeling.

Schools that take part in Travel for Life are helping to:

  1. Reduce traffic congestion at the school gates
  2. Raise awareness of active travel and road safety
  3. Improve air quality
  4. Encourage a healthier and more active school community
